A Chartered chemical engineer by background, most of Paul's career has been with ICI in a number of different international businesses. As product manager of one of ICI's specialty chemical businesses he increased turnover from 5m to 9m in three years and led major changes to the business.

He was instrumental in identifying the opportunity for ICI in the water industry and helped to build ICI Watercare into a 20m turnover business. In particular he had responsibility for new products, identifying the opportunity and launching several innovative new processes as well as building the capability to supply solutions to customer problems.

More recently he was Sales and Marketing Director of a 5m turnover Plc supplying technology to the water industry. He rapidly improved the company's sales capability and strengthened it's market position.

Now he has been operating as an independent consultant focussed primarily on the water industry for nearly 14 years. He has worked with a wide range of companies including directly for several of the water companies as well as leading first tier suppliers such as civil contractors and engineering consultants, product companies and overseas investors.

He is very results orientated, and is using his extensive experience in managing change and turning ideas / opportunities into substance to benefit a number of companies. His energy and enthusiasm provide strong motivation to achieve results and ensure business performance is delivered.
